The North Shore Classic offers some of the best sights and experiences in Chicago. Want to learn more? Here is what you need to know about race weekend.
Half Marathon
START TIME: 7:30 a.m.
START LOCATION: St Johns and Central Ave
FINISH LOCATION: St Johns and Elm Place
Take to the streets of the beautiful Highland Park neighborhood for what is one of the best half marathons in Chicago. Start in town and make your way past historic sites like Fort Sheridan, a former Army post from the 1800s. Then, you’ll make your way to scenic views over Lake Michigan before Lake Michigan before heading back to downtown Highland Park for the post-race festivities. All roads are closed to traffic and the course is USATF-certified.
5K
START TIME: 7:00 a.m.
START LOCATION: St Johns and Central Ave
FINISH LOCATION: St Johns and Elm Place
Our fast 5K course is a great way to get in some miles, accomplish your first race, and everything in between. You’ll take a quick loop around the neighborhood before finishing at the post-race party where we’ll have food, refreshments, and more waiting for you.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup information will be held at Fleet Feet Deerfield (800 Waukegan Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015) on Friday, June 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be no race day packet pickup!
Parking
Parking will be available at the Surround Metra Lots and in Downtown Highland Park around the start/finish area.
Results and photos
The North Shore Classic is an officially timed event, and results will be posted online after the race. Use the link below to access your time. We’ll capture you in high-resolution shots, and track those shots using your unique bib number. After the race, registrants will be emailed free pictures of themselves at the race.
